Scientific research is undergoing a fundamental transformation driven by the rapid advancement of artificial intelligence and the changing ways in which knowledge is produced, evaluated, disseminated, and applied.
The value of an academic institution is no longer measured solely by the volume of its research output or the number of its publications. Rather, it is increasingly determined by its ability to build an integrated research ecosystem—one that begins with preparing researchers and students, developing critical thinking and research skills, and enhancing the quality of scientific output, while extending to peer-reviewed scientific publishing, collaboration, innovation, and the creation of meaningful impact.
Within this context, the Scientific Research Ecosystem Conference introduces a new vision of scientific research as an integrated ecosystem that connects researchers, knowledge, quality, scientific publishing, data, artificial intelligence, impact, and policymaking.
This vision is particularly significant in light of international transformations in research assessment and institutional excellence, which are gradually shifting from traditional measures of research output toward a more comprehensive evaluation of quality, diversity, collaboration, research integrity, and impact.
